Description
The winery is situated in the ancient town of Mad and there are eight hectares under vine in the “Grand Cru” Kiraly and Betsek areas, planted to Furmint, Harslevelu and Muscat. The vines are on average 30 years old, producing extremely low yields, the local mayor is the wine maker who uses modern techniques and also relies on traditional wine making methods and barrel ageing. This results in exceptional wines, in fact their top wine has won a Gold medal for six consecutive years at the International Wine & Spirt awards in London, which makes them the most successful Hungarian winery at this prestigious competition.
The Aszu 3P is pale golden yellow in colour which darkens with age. The nose is of peach, honey and orange blossom. A full bodied wine with a taste that matches the aromas with hints of caramel and a zesty orange peel finish, very low acidity and low tannin.
