Description
The Anselmi family started making wine in 1928 and today brothers Guiseppe and Luigi carry on the family tradition makingรย aromatic and flavoursome wines. When you mention Malbec, firstly Argentina comes to mind and maybe the strong tannic wines of Cahors in the south of France but Friuli in Italy?
The Italian Malbec is balanced with good purity of fruit and acidity. In the last few years more and more Argentinian producers haveรย increased the use of oak and made stronger wines they say this is due to customer taste and demand.
This Italian Malbec has not followed this path. Ruby red with garnet tints, aromas of plum, blackberry and black cherry which follows through on the palate with a slight hazelnut finish and a pinch of thyme.รย A medium wine with good balance and pure refreshing taste.
