Description
Château des Graviers is located in the village of Arsac, this family estate has been prospering through four generations and is a Cru Artisan vineyard. The Cru Artisan classification is only given to independently owned Châteaux that offer consistently high quality wine. Re-established by the French government in 2006, only 44 Châteaux have currently earned the Cru Artisan designation making it even more exclusive than Cru Bourgeois. The vineyards extend over 7 hectares and the average age of the vines are 30 years. Beehives and lavender plants are scattered across the vineyards and no chemical herbicide is used on the soil. The Wine Buff have built a close relationship with Christophe the owner of the vineyard, allowing us to create a special cuvee of his wine.
It offers a deep purple colour, very pleasant sweet earthy nose, complex aroma of black berry, violet, cherry and vanilla, with mild hints of oak and toffee. Layered, deep structures of berries keep coming, but are never overpowering. Powerful, with a gentle silky quality and a very long lingering aftertaste. ÂÂ
