Description
Chรยขteau Le Plaisir is one of the oldest properties in Cairanne.รย The oldest documents attest to the acquisition of “La Grange Le Plaisir” in 1712 by Thomas Gasparin, grandson of Adriano Gasparini appointed Consul in Cayranne in 1595. Due to its historical importance, it is one of the rare properties in the Rhรยดne Valley authorised to use “Chรยขteau” in its name.
The grapes are harvested manually, the rose is made with the ‘direct pressing’ method: whole bunches and gently de-stemmed fruit goes directly to the press and the juice is run-off quickly. Giving the wine a lighter rose colour.
Fresh nose of crisp red fruits, citrus and a touch of cranberry. On the palate round with a great lemon freshness. Have as an aperitif, with salads and grilled meats. รย
