Description
Diemersdal Wine Estate, in the Durbanville Wine Valley, launched in 2013 the first-ever home-grown Grรยผner Veltliner, Austriaรขโฌโขs most widely-planted and much-loved white wine grape varietal. Grรยผner Veltliner is a food-friendly variety which has charmed its way onto many international wine lists in top restaurants, especially in the USA and the UK.
The wineรขโฌโขs mineral richness and fresh acidity complement richly-flavoured foods like traditional Wiener Schnitzel, spicy Asian food and soft cheeses. Grรยผner Veltliner also holds up well to more challenging food matches like artichokes, asparagus and salty seafood dishes.
A pale green colour, inviting aromas ofรย kiwi and lime with sweet melon and ripe pear fruit flavours. A medium bodied wine,รย with a concentrated palate and a long lingering and mineral finish. รย
