Description
Gilles Bouton took over the 4 heactare family vineyards in 1977 and has expanded it to a further 8. The vineyards are spread over four villages (Saint Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault) all stars in making white burgundy. The vineyards are loacted in 70 different plots which is typical of the fragmented holdings in the Burgundy region. He was joined in 2008 by his son Julien and they sell most of their wines to private individuals, we are lucky enough to get a limited consignment of his wines once a year. Meursault white are some of the most sought after and highly regarded white wines in the world.
Floral aromas with hints of white peach and citrus on the nose. In the mouth, the wine is concentrated with lively acidity, fine, integrated oak and a creamy texture.
