Description
The Folle Blanche is from 1.5 hectares of Gros Plant and as good an example of the grape you will find anywhere. Folle Blanche is also known as Picpoule (despite having no ties to the Picpoul of the Languedoc), Gros Plant also known as Folle Blanc is from the southwest of France. It is used in the Loire valley around Nantes to produce Plant du Pays Nantais.
A dry, tangy wine that pairs well with shellfish and fish dishes. Perfumed nose of white flowers, and limey citrus. In the mouth, its gives fresh citrus, grapefruit and salty minerality. Also, the wine is lighter at 11% alc. รย
