Description
Château Phélan Ségur comes from Irish Origins, when Bernard O’Phelan, a young Irish wine merchant, left his native town of Tipperary at the end of the 18th century to set himself up in Bordeaux. On the death of Bernard in 1841, this vast estate, whose combined name was Château Ségur de Garramey, was passed on to his son Frank, the second wine of the Château is now named in his honour.ÂÂ
A very spicy and typical St.-Estephe with nutmeg, clove and berry character. Medium body with slightly chewy tannins and a savory finish. Give it time to soften. Serious second wine from Phelan.
