Description
The Parpinello family has run the vineyards and winery in the north of Sardinia with dedication and passion for three generations. Currently the father and son team of Giampaolo and Paolo Parpinello are at the helm and their aim is to reflect the characteristic Sardinian terroir and show this in the nature of their wines.
Cannonau, one of Sardinia’s signature red grapes is known as Grenache in France or Garnacha in Spain. From this Mediterranean island it does, however, have its own distinct character.
Plenty of ripe red fruits and a hint of cherry on the nose. On the palate it’s pleasingly dry and elegant in character, while still having plenty of body giving a good weight to it. Pairs really well with most roasted, or grilled red meats and is also good with cheese.
