Description

Van Zellers & Co, dates back to 1780 and is one of the oldest Port producers in the region, since 2007 its back in the hands of Cristiano van Zeller, and the new Van Zellers & Co. wines and Ports are in the forefront of the New Douro “revolution”. A blend of more than 25 different traditional grape varieties, predominately Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Tinta Barroca, but also Rufete, Tinta Amarela, Tinta Francisca and many others. A deep red garnet colour with tints of violet. It is hugely concentrated with deep ripe fruit aromas of blackberries, black cherries, blackcurrants and plums. Very elegant with great structure, this port distinguishes itself with a great balance of fruit and structure and for the immense aging potential it demonstrates.
